Mother's Day Cards By Andrea

Oh Hello!  Guess who entered her photos  but forgot to type in the text??  Yes, that would be me!

This is a lovely card designed by my neighbor, Andrea.  Andrea had the scrapping ladies over to make Mother's Day cards.  Andrea has a plethora of stamps and ink pads; the woman could easily start her own store!  Or maybe start giving stamping lessons!

I only made one change on Andrea's design, I added doodle dots.  But even then Andrea made suggestions.  I am so lucky to have such a talented and super-nice neighbor!!

Life Is Just A Bowl of Cherries Cards

I recently added a new stamp set to my collection:  Berries and Cherries was purchased from Taylored Expressions.  Taylor has some of the cutest themed cupcake stamps on the markets.  But at the moment I in a fruit phase so I chose cherries.

I stamped the bowl of cherries image in Stampin' Up's chocolate brown classic ink.  I colored in with Copic markers.  I cut the bowl image and the background scalloped matting using my nestabilities.  I also used a new Stampin' Up border punch to finish the edges of the red and gold papers.

I used a circle punch to cut out the phrase cirlce: "Life is just a blow of Cherries".  I mounted the phrase over a strip of yellow-gold ribbon which I tied into a little knot.  The card front section is mounted on a plain white A2 cardstock card base.

I know this was a quicky post, but I am having a busy week!!

Remember to leave a comment under my Monday's BBTB2 blog hop post to be in the drawing for the Mother's Day mini cartridge.

Bee Happy with the BBTB2 BLOG HOP and BLOG CANDY

Don't worry, Bee happy - it's a Bitten By the Bug 2 Monday with the April Blog Hop!!  How great is that?   The Monday Blog Hop is enough to chase away all of your Monday blues.  If you are following the blog hop you probably arrived here from Margie's blog, if not, you may want to start the at the beginning of the Blog Hop at BBTB2 (after you read my post and register for my great blog candy, of course!).

This week's challenge cut is the Bee from the Sentimentals cartridge.  I made a sweet little yellow and black bee, with a yellow and green shadow cut.  I matted the bee with pop dots onto a label cut also from Sentimentals.  I trimmed the label with flowers because the bee must have been searching for pollen.  Silly Bee.

I added more ribbon and flowers to the bottom of portion of the card and topped the ribbon with the phrase Bee happy.  There is also a sneaky little bee hiding behind the ribbon.

Did I mention that there would be blog candy??? Oh indeed there IS blog candy.  I have a new, unopened Mother's Day mini cartridge in need of a home!  I will be drawing a winner on Saturday from the comments on this blog post.  So before you hop along, be sure to leave a comment!!!!

Life's A Beach Gecko In the Sun

Guess what I FINALLY purchased??  The Life's A Beach cartridge!  I don't know why I had not purchased this little cutie sooner because it is loaded with adorable cuts!  My first Life's A Beach card features this adorable print Gecko heading off to the beach.

I love the paper that I used to cut the gecko, but sadly now it is all gone. It is from the same set as the orange background paper and the light blue paper on which the gecko is crawling.  The phrase "fun in the sun" was cut with Bazzill cardstock, and it is on the matching phrase function with the Gecko.

Life's a beach also had some super-cute multi cuts for borders and such.  I just couldn't resist adding these four little geckos as an inside border.  I matted them on rust Bazzill cardstock which is flanked by the orange print from the front.

I finished the card by adding green and orange flowers and a double layer of ribbon.  I used my favorite pens to do a bit of doodling and voila - a cute Gecko in the sun card!!

Ice Cream Cone Treat Box with Sweet Treats

You know how we all have cartridges that are not fully appeciated and used? For me one of those is Sweet Treats. I love the cakes, pies, ice cream, etc. cuts on ST, but I confess that I have only just begun to use the multitude of available cuts. In fact, I had never made of the Sweet Treat treat boxes.

My favorite ice cream cone is strawberry ice cream.  So of course I had to make the strawberry ice cream cone treat box.  In real life I would not top the strawberry cone with chocolate, but the drippy chocolate look wonderful on this cone.  I also like that this cone is topped with a strawberry.

I used the DCWV Sweet stack to cut the treat box elements.  In addition to the ice cream cone and the box cut I also used Sweet paper for the box cut trims (see the box sides in photo number one).  I did add touches of pink bazzill cardstock (scalloped trim on the sides) and green bazzill cardstock (the strawberry leaves).  I completed the treat box by adding ribbon handle.  The ribbon was threaded through the holes on the sides of the treat box and knotted on the inside of the box.

Just think how cute the birthday cake treat box would be for a special birthday!!  I may have to make the B-day box next!!!

Little Red Riding Hood Layout with Cut File

I was a day late in posting this week's Custom Crops project - Hey There Little Red Riding Hood.  Custom Crops challenged us to use the Jubilee cartidge.  While I have done cute house cards and layouts with Jubilee, I wanted to use something a little different for the challenge.  Then I found the tree and grass cut!  Forest.  And who is in the forest?  That wolf waiting for Little Red Riding Hood!

LRRH was created using Everyday Paper Dolls and the wolf is from Create a Critter!  I also used George for a circle and the photo mats and letters.  The cut file as well as detailed instructions are available by clicking the Custom Crops blinkie in the left column.

This was a really fun layout and I hope that you too are able to enjoy it!

April Showers for Hello Kitty

Happy Monday!  It is a BBTB2 Monday and we have seven new Design Team members!!  Have you already been by the BBTB2 blog and checked out all of the amazing cards and layouts???  WOW, WOW, WOW!
This week's challenge cut is the little three flower card on the From My Kitchen cartridge.  I used the flower card and added two folds to each side, inserting it through the foundation card (a recipe card from FMK) so that it creates a panoramic card.

I used HELLO KITTY to create the center section of my card, matted on a label from Sentimentals.   Kitty has her umbrella out because we are still having April Showers. The tag at the top of the card says April Showers, as if we had any doubts.  But what happens when we get April showers?  Yes!  May flowers!  See the three cute little button flowers growing in the rain?

And because I might want to actually add a note and sign this card, I made Kitty into a card.  The Hello Kitty section is the only part of this card that opens.  Cute, huh?

Please do click the BBTB2 link in my left column if you have not already been by there today.  Also please leave a comment so that our new DT members will feel welcome and loved (they are ALL awesome designers).

And finally, if you have not already visited my new sister blog, Busy with the Cricky Cake, please click the link in right column.  I am having so much fun with the Cricut Cake machine and I am enjoying sharing my adventures.

I will be back tomorrow with a new project for you.

Us Weekly has assembled a team of the best plastic surgeons in the field to discuss the inclusion of bad fake boobs Heidi Montag on the move. Except not really, they are the only doctors in the folder without going would be to do with Heidi, as they say and not something that someone with the power of sight had not noticed. In essence, the fund is "obvious," said Dr. Heidi have serious health problems for years to come. Oh, and her breasts are falling around the ankles, back, and you also do it "shocking." Here is more: have Heidi Montag - known suffered an astonishing 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day (a breast enlargement at home) - his body found after surgery bikini weekend in Las Vegas.

Although Hills star, 23 - whose breast size "S" or "F" and no longer legally undergo surgery - were all smiles as he showed his new wealth, many surgeons say UsMagazine artists. com is facing many problems after the operation. to 'carry the excessive weight of these plants almost always elevated to extreme breast reduction and significant decrease of chronic back pain, "said New Jersey, Mr. Lyle M. Back. "Often, the entire balance of the spine can be displaced, whereby the tension thought to chronic neck, shoulder pain and a bent posture.
 [gallery_main-0316_heidi_hairspray_03.jpg]

San Francisco plastic surgeon Dr. Joel Beck, that breastfeeding may also have problems." If the breasts are too large, the child can not stop taking milk from a mother, "she said. As we age adds Monday:" The plants of thin film] [woven, and need a breast lift. "Plants may so important that" on the skin and may be suspended, the obligations of [his] pension, "says Dr. Beck. But her second nose correction" could have potential consequences, "warns Dr. Mark Berman, president of the American Academy of cosmetic Surgery. He says that Monday is the capacity to lose breathe through the nose, when the nose "too low." (This is not only harmful to a major operation? his blade behind - which, according to Dr. Berman, refers to a "liposuction around the waist and hips shrink." "Why do you choose just the general malaise of the early fatty acids healing ... you should be able to make any physical activity before it can make," says Berman. [Monday was photographed yoga, but she said they can not run faster because he recorded his new breasts. ]) Face not only the physical consequences - but also psychologically.

"There are a lot of pressure to find a way to Hollywood," admits Dr. Larry Fan, a leading Harvard-trained plastic and cosmetic surgery. "It is not healthy, emotionally want to change much about your appearance all at once. I am very concerned about the psychological health of Heidi and the sense of body image is affected." Breasts [From Us Weekly] As a person with a DD cup, of course, to simply say that the problems are actually worth it. I can not bend without calling me. No - not really. But my back and shoulders hurt sometimes, especially when I'm a long time. But now I know what you get is mysterious, that looks like an interesting procedure. Are there any vital organs in this general area at all? You should strive internal anatomy. A final story, loosely connected to the plastic surgery awful Heidi. After Audrina Patridge has spoken of surgery in the program by George Lopez Heidi, Spencer Pratt tweeted, "not hate Audrina - because Tijuana plastic surgery is not bad news." "Nasty Tijuana Plastic surgery" is perhaps the best description I heard, trap work. I can not believe that Spencer is smart. In fact, it is not - although I think Audrina implants such as Tijuana junk look ugly and Heidi. No disrespect to Tijuana ..

Butterflies with Everday Cricut

I am so excited - this is my launch as part of the Saturday Design Crew at Everyday Cricut.  I am so honored that Joy and Melanie asked me to join them on this one Saturday each month.  I thought I might like to work on themed projects, featuring similar cuts, or colors, or both.  This month I am sharing two butterfly cards made with the Sentimentals cartridge.

The features wings which open from the center of the butterfly's body.  I created this effect by welding extra wings to the shadow butterfly cut.  There are more details on this in my post today at Everyday Cricut.  I embellished the butterfly with flowers, pearls, gems and doodle dots.

The second card features the same butterfly cut, only smaller, the same paper colors, but is designed to be a more traditional rectangular shaped card.  The inside of the card has an additional butterfly, even smaller, as well as colored paper.  Again for more details on how this card was made and designed (I off hints on designing with Cricut Design Studio), visit Joy's and Melanie's Everyday Cricut.  Just click the Everyday Cricut blinky in the left column.

I hope you have a great weekend.  I will be back early Monday morning with my BBTB2 post.  I may get Busy with the Cricky Cake tomorrow, so you might want to check my sister blog over the weekend.

Thank You Hannah at Sherbet Blossom Designs

I love, LOVE, love my new custom blog design and blinkies! Hannah at Sherbet Blossom Designs designed the background, banner and blinkie elements. I love everything about this design. She took my very few limited comments and made something wonderfully fun and special. I feel like the blog design really expresses my tastes and shows the up beat fun attitude that I like to express in my projects.

Hannah’s blinkie is on the lower part of the right column – check out her premade and custom blog packages to get a special look for your blog.
Oh and THANK YOU DOUG for not thinking I was crazy when I asked for blog packages for my birthday!

For you, HONEY!

With so much of my time this week focused on the Cricut Cake, and the launch of my sister blog, Busy With The Cricky Cake, I thought I had better assure all of you that I am still completely addicted to my Cricut Expression!  LOL.  The cute little card was made using Design Studio and the Sentimentals cartridge.  And yes, like always, I am going to tell you that I LOVE this cartridge.  Seriously, I know, I know.  I always tell you that I love the cartridges, but I DO!  The cartridge designers at PC create such amazing designs.

This little cutie was made using Bo Bunny cardstock and Coordinations cardstock.  Both of these products cut beautifully with the Cricut.  Ironically my photography failed me so the inside photo did not turn out well enough to post on the blog.  The inside has a smaller "hive" shape cut out, and the word "Honey" inside, making the full sentiment, For You Honey!

If you have not already done so, please consider following my new sister blog.  Friends and I will be sharing our first cake this weekend!  And you will want to be part of the fun too!  Busy With The Cricky Cake.
