Lindsay Lohan has a new boyfriend

[gallery_main-1108_lindsay_lohan_shopping_00.jpg]

God, do we have to do this after time? “Lindsay is definitely starting to turn to him when things get bad.” Because they’ve been dating for what? A week? And Adam Senn has already become a bit player in Lindsay’s drama. Yeah, I bet he lasts.

By the way, Dina Lohan wants everyone to know that after Lindsay’s whirlwind trip to India - in which she took credit for saving the lives of 40 children and was called out for her lies - Lindsay is now “a changed woman.” Dina told Page Six that Lindsay was “humbled and moved” by the trip and that “Lindsay definitely wants to give more back. We are now planning a trip to help the children of Guatemala — which will be filmed by Oprah’s network.” For f-ck’s sake. Not Central America! That’s where the drugs come from!

[gallery_main-1108_lindsay_lohan_shopping_01.jpg]

Just hours after the hearing - it was reported that Dina is demanding $40,000 in child support, while Michael claimed Sunday that it’s only $15,000 - spies say Lindsay showed up at her sister Ali’s 16th birthday party at Abe & Arthur’s with Senn, whom we reported she was dating on Dec. 10.

And while her, err, doting parents can’t agree on much, they both seem to think that Adam is a winner.

“Dina really likes him,” the source says. “She thinks he is ‘good for her.’”

Michael wasn’t on the guest list for Ali’s fete, but he too seemed pleased with Adam when asked about Linds’ new man Sunday.

[gallery_main-1108_lindsay_lohan_shopping_03.jpg]

“If he’s a good guy and he has no addictions, and he’s a good influence on her, then God bless him. It’s a good thing,” he told us.

And although Michael says he would have liked to meet the former “City” star at the party, he admits he’s not shocked he wasn’t invited. “I’m not surprised I wasn’t welcome at Ali’s dinner,” he says. “In light of what’s going on between Dina and I, and being so public with the things I’ve said in regards to Lindsay’s well-being, I can understand how Lindsay and the kids would be upset and not want me there.”

Indeed, Lindsay has publicly dismissed her dead-beat-dad, but an insider claims that his absence is still hard on the troubled starlet.

“Everything that’s gone on between Lindsay and her dad has really taken a toll on her,” the source confides, adding that “Adam is the one really positive thing going on in her life.”

The snitch also claims that Senn and Lohan were texting and calling each other over the holiday weekend - and are certainly acting more serious than “just friends,” which LiLo has claimed via her Twitter page.

Britney Spears still crazy.....

[gallery_main-1223_britney_spears_jfk_01.jpg]

Things have been running smoothly for Britney since her father took over. It’s been almost two years since her huge breakdown and she seems back to normal. Honestly, I didn’t expect her to be able to complete her tour, which ran from the beginning of March to the end of September with only a couple of one-month breaks. She also did 14 dates in Australia last month. Apart from yelling that her “p*ssy was hanging out” and getting slammed for lipsyncing in Australia without providing a live video feed for the audience, we haven’t heard many complaints about her tour. She only missed one gig due to an issue with the promoter. Sure she lipsynced and strutted around, it’s what she does. Sadly she may have to do it for a while in order to continue to pay huge lawyer bills, child support payments, and staff. At least she seems happy. Well, sort of.

[gallery_main-1223_britney_spears_jfk_07.jpg]

The judge didn't specify how long the conservatorship will remain in place, but lawyers involved in the matter tell TMZ they expect it to last somewhere between six months to a year.
Under the ruling, Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, will continue to receive a $16,000-a-month payment for his duties. Andrew Wallet -- the co-conservator -- was also granted a $174,569.10 payment for services rendered between July 2009 and November 2009.
The judge also authorized Britney's conservatorship to kick out close to $300,000 in attorney's fees.

[gallery_main-1223_britney_spears_jfk_06.jpg]

It was an expensive day in court Tuesday for Britney Spears. In a Los Angeles courtroom Commissioner Reva Goetz ordered the co-conservatorship of Britney Spears to continue, with her father, Jamie Spears, to continue to receive $16k a month for his duties as conservator of his daughter.

Goetz also ordered the co-conservator of Britney, Andrew Wallet, to be paid $174,569.10 for services rendered from July 2009-November 2009.

[gallery_main-1223_britney_spears_jfk_04.jpg]

In addition Goetz ordered Jamie’s attorneys to be paid $183,918 and attorney Joel Boxer to be paid $62,965.06. Another law firm was ordered to be paid $50k. Jamie Spears was also allowed to continue to receive $1200 for office space.

Samuel Ingham, the court appointed attorney for Britney Spears, said in court that, “She [Britney] accepted the accounting as filed and had no objection to it.”

Other housekeeping issues concerned continuing to seal all medical and certain business transactions because of “trade secrets” and the commissioner also increased the bond for the conservatorship from $1 million dollars to $25 million. Bond is similar to insurance in conservatorship cases, so if anything were to happen to Britney’s money she would be covered and reimbursed.

The next court hearing is scheduled for January 14th. Fees for Laura Wasser, Brit’s legal ace divorce attorney will be dealt with at that time.

Buried in Cookies, Gift Wrap, Ribbon & Bows, and Other Signs of the Season

I have been missing from my blog for several days now.  I just popped out from under the gift wrap, with flour on my face, to wish you all a Merry Christmas!!!  I did manage to complete one last project before closing up my scraproom for the holidays.

My lovely next door neighbor is creating a cookbook for her son.  She purchased a one inch ring bound notebook at a local office supply store which fits 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch paper to use as the recipe book.  This is the type of notebook she purchased.  She plans to print two recipes per page, using the landscape view, then cut the sheet in half and place in the notebook with divider tabs.  She wisely purchased a presentation style notebook with an plastic cover for sliding in a cover sheet and spine label.

This is where I came in.  My neighbor graciously allowed me to create the cover for her cookbook.  I had such fun with this.  I actually designed two covers, but went with a more traditional look, which my neighbor loved!  The file required only two cartridges, A Child's Year and Winter Woodlands.  I will add the cut file to the downloadable cut files on the left side of the blog, just in case anyone else is interested.  Though I will say that this is a very basic cut file. The cut file title is Mom's Recipes for Chris.

Once again, I wish each of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Cooking Up Some Fun

Sorry for the delay but I am going to share another of my projects at Custom Crops this week. Is there a cookie exchange in your future???  I hosted a cookie exchange two weeks ago where we shared cookies and recipes.  I used the From My Kitchen cartridge and dressed my recipe up in this flip up oven door card.

I used the oven cut, stretched a bit wider than normal, and welded two oven doors to create the flip up recipe-oven-door.  The pdf'ed recipe fits perfectly in the flip up area.

Complete directions and the cut file, along with the recipe for my favorite Christmas cookie, are available at Custom Crops.  Click HERE for all for the everything you need to create your own oven recipe cards.

Rihanna poses 'topless' for GQ

[gallery_main-1215_rihanna_gq_00.jpg]

It’s interesting that Rihanna says she learned that “love is blind” - she told Diane Sawyer that she learned “f-ck love”. I tend to think “f-ck love” is a better motto, because the whole “love is blind” thing doesn’t really apply to abusive pricks. I mean, if the guy’s hitting you, who cares what he looks like? That’s what I take from it. I also find it interesting that Rihanna is adamant she got through the difficult period on her own - I suspect (as I’ve said before) that she’s still very screwed up over the entirety of the Chris Brown stuff, and she’s going to be playing with these submission-dominance images and substance for a while. Let’s hope she comes through okay!

[gallery_main-1215_rihanna_gq_03.jpg]

By continuing to speak out about Chris Brown’s violent Feb. 8 attack, Rihanna says she is slowly moving past the ugly incident.

“It’s relieving,” the singer, 21, says in the January issue of GQ. “Because it was built up for so long, and all these thoughts and emotions have been running through my mind for the past eight months. And now it’s like I finally get to let go and move on.”

Although she says doesn’t like “talking about it” a lot, “every time I do, it’s better; it’s easier each time.”

[gallery_main-1215_rihanna_gq_01.jpg]

She says she finally decided to speak out about the incident because “I wanted to move on. And I knew that was the only way I could have done it. And I wanted people to move on with me. ‘Cause the last big thing they know about me is That Night. And I don’t want that to be what people define me as.”

Although pal Jay-Z gave her “advice and guidance,” she says “nobody” helped her move past the incident.

HO HO HO Jolly Christmas Layout

Over the next few days I share highlights of my new projects at Custom Crops this week.  This first is a cute, cute Christmas layout featuring paper doll elves and Santa. I really like this layout.  And I love how the Peachy Keen paperdoll stamps made the faces look so professional.

Inaddition to the many Christmas elements - the Elves and Santa, the packages, and the snowflakes, the layout also includes space for four of your favorite Christmas photos and space where you can journal if you would like.  Simply omit the snowflake and packages from the tag on the lower right page and you will have a perfect journaling square.

A close up of the cute little Santa:

And finally one more look a the two page spread:

Complete instructions and the file download are available at Custom Crops.  There are so many cute Christmas project at CC.... And a sale that ends WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!!!  Don't sit there... click over to CC!!!

Gypsy Spot Weekly Challenge - A Christmas Card

This weeks challenge at the Gypsy Spot is to use the Gypsy to make a Christmas Card.  While I was enjoying the tag shapes on Winter Woodlands I went ahead and designed a second card with this shape as a base.  I added scalloped eyelit edges on the card to dress it up a bit.

The card was constructed of Core'dination cardstock.  I am really enjoying the Core'dination line.  I purchased a variety of colors and finish treatments from Custom Crops as they have a huge selection (and a sale thru this Wednesday night).  The base card was cut in White-washed white cardstock.  The base tag was cut in red Core'dination cardstock and the top layer tag was cut in peach White-washed Core'dination.  If you look closely you can see where I sanded the edges to allow more of the "core" color to peek through.

The flowers and words feature multi-layered cuts, each featuring a light green base cut.  The words are topped in the same red Core'dination cardstock and the flowers feature a white layer then repeats of the red and peach colors.  The flower centers were made using German ground glass (also available at Custom Crops).

I finished my card off with a ribbon and bow, but I am not sure what is going on with the color of the ribbon... It is an irredescent light green ribbon with streaks of pink and gold... but it photographed yellow!  Seriously, I have no idea why that happened.

Just like the Bitten by the Bug blog, the Gypsy Spot will also be taking a two week vacation.  Fear not, both sites will return the first week of January!

Bitten By The Bug Winter Woodland Branch

Happy Monday - It's a Bitten by the Bug challenge day.  This is the last BBTB challenge of the year as the team will take a holiday until Monday, January 4th.  The challenge cut was to use the branch cut on the Winter Woodlands cartridge.

I cut the branch in Core'dination White Washed blue cardstock.  I lightly sanded the branch to reveal more of the blue base.  I used red metallic to cut the berries.  I used Core'dination White Washed white cardstock for the snow on the branch and added icicle Stickles for a frosty look.

I cut the bird in red Core'dination cardstock (shadow), followed by red Bazzill cardstock for the icon cut.  I used the red metallic paper to cut the bird's body and gold metallic to cut the bird face.  Poor little cold bird; I hope he enjoys the berries.

The tag on which the bird and branch are mounted was cut in SEI Winter Song paper (I love this line of paper).  Under the SEI tag is a tag shaped card cut in navy Bazzill cardstock.  Inside is a smaller white cardstock tag on which a greeting has been stamped.

Below the tag is a red silk ribbon and bow, accented with a smear of icicle Stickles.  The word Peace was from the Joys of the Season cartridge.  I used the red White Washed Core'dination cardstock to cut the word.

Homemade Gift for my Secret Sister

Several weeks ago I made a gift box of handmade cards for my work Secret Sister.  My Secret Sister figured out mid-year that I was her secret gifter, so I had no issues with making her a matching box and card set.  The set included several cards:  Chirstmas cards, Birthday cards, and a couple of note cards.  I felt certain that my Secret Sister would like the cards as she has had me make cards for her in the past.  (Photo at the top is, of course, the box).

I used Graphic45's Fashionista line of paper to craft the box and cards.  Here are two the Chirstmas cards:

The birthday cards:

And finally another of the note cards:

A mutual friend told me that my Secret Sister really liked her box of cards... so think about this if you need a special, yet inexpensive gift for someone.

Ornament Making & Cookie Exchange

I had the most wonderful Sunday afternoon yesterday!  My group of scrapping girlfriends joined me for light lunch, ornament making, and a cookie & recipe exchange.  I love these women so any excuse to get together with them is a joy.  But this was especially fun.

We used the ornament ideas presented at the Christmas With The Cricut blog (among others) and made both some of the alcohol inked ornaments and the glitter filled ornaments.  I made a set of four ornaments for each of my children.

I will say that I LOVE the glitter onaments.  I purchased some very pretty Matha Stewart Glitters at Hobby Lobby and also used a few colors I already had at home.  My favorite did not photograph well, Rose Quartz.  It is so pretty in real life.

I am off to the kitchen to sample another cookie from the cookie/recipe exchange.  This women bake as well as they scrap and craft!!!  What a great group of women!!!
